We have been settling into and putting our mark on this apartment. The more pictures that go up, the better I feel about it. Mila and I have really turned it into a big play room but hey, that's the beauty of being a stay-at-home mom! When we're not indoors, we are out exploring the ponds around the complex. Most have been filled with baby ducks and geese since early Spring, who are usually gifted with bread and cereal every time they see us.
As of this week, however, we have been confined indoors as this string of summer storms keeps on passing through Michigan. Somedays it isn't so bad - we listen to the rain and put on a movie, grab all of the blankets and curl up on the floor. Other days we anxiously await for even the slightest sign of it clearing up and we run - to check the mail, to stomp in puddles or to just get some fresh air. Normally I'm all about the rain, something about it makes me productive but now I'm ready for it to stop and I'm ready to hit the beach and let the REAL summer begin!
